Automatic with Manual Winding — What It Means

An automatic watch is powered by the natural movement of your wrist. Inside the watch is a rotor that spins as you move, winding the mainspring and keeping the watch running.

However, some automatic watches also include a manual winding option — meaning you can wind the watch yourself using the crown.

Why This Is Useful

• Faster start-up: If the watch has stopped, you can manually wind it to get it running immediately.
• More control: You can top up the power reserve anytime.
• Convenient for collectors: If you rotate watches and don’t wear one daily, manual winding helps keep it running.

How to Manually Wind

1. Keep the crown in the normal (pushed-in) position unless your model requires otherwise.
2. Turn the crown 10–20 full rotations clockwise.
3. Avoid over-winding — modern movements have a slipping mechanism, but gentle winding is best.

Important

Manual winding is a supplement, not a replacement, for automatic self-winding. Regular wear keeps the watch powered effortlessly.

3. Is my watch water-resistant?

Yes, your watch is water resistant. Most of our timepieces offer 3ATM to 20ATM water resistance, depending on the model — suitable for everyday use, but not recommended for swimming or diving unless specified.

Every watch has a specific rating (e.g., 3ATM, 5ATM, 10ATM, 20ATM).

• 3ATM / 30m: Resistant to splashes, rain, and hand-washing. Not suitable for showering or swimming.

• 10ATM / 100m: Suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for diving.
• 20ATM / 200m: Suitable for recreational scuba.
